I don't engage in gambling or trading as a habit. My main motivation was to generate money to fund my ideas, as both activities have the potential to be profitable. A major issue for the Gangstalkers was my ability to predict certain outcomes in gambling and trading.
Order of Events
Programming Casino Bots for Online Casinos
When: Around 2008
I developed bots for online casinos using the Martingale roulette strategy. Twice, I successfully turned CHF 20 into CHF 2,000, both online and in real casinos. However, I eventually lost all my winnings.
Developing Indicators and Strategies for MetaTrader 4 & 5
When: 2009 - 2018
I started programming indicators and strategies for MetaTrader using MQL. I became interested in Forex and binary options trading, particularly the Zone Recovery Trading Algorithm, which was a variation of the Martingale strategy designed to turn losing trades into winning ones.
Crypto Investments
When: 2019 - 2025
During the bull run in late 2019, I developed a strong interest in cryptocurrency and began investing. In 2020, I took out a $40,000 loan from the bank to invest further. Unfortunately, I lost everything within 1-2 years.
Crypto Bot Development
When: 2019 - 2020
I started programming a crypto trading bot using Node.js, incorporating the Zone Recovery strategy for leveraged futures trading. I tested it using a self-programmed backtester, which showed incredible results, suggesting I could become a millionaire in 1-2 weeks.
I shared the backtested results via WhatsApp with a friend. A test run on Binance Testnet was highly successful—I turned $100 into $10,000 in just 12 hours. However, this happened on a highly volatile day.
Encouraged by the test, I ran the bot in live trading and invested nearly my entire salary. Unfortunately, due to fees and market conditions, I was unable to make a profit and lost almost everything. Despite investing time in optimizing the bot, I was never able to make it consistently profitable, and I eventually abandoned the project.
Implications
Gambling and trading led to implanted thoughts.
