An Explanation of Ghosts and the After Life
Ghosts exist in the lower astral realm, a level of existence very close to our physical world. For various reasons, these souls are often trapped there, unable to move on to higher planes of existence. Some ghosts don’t even realize they are dead, while others are lost or unsure where to go. These spirits are often referred to as lost souls, and they lack guidance to help them ascend to higher realms.
Other ghosts stay in the lower astral realm because they want to stay connected to their loved ones or revisit familiar places. Their attachment to the physical world keeps them anchored to this lower plane. These entities may try to communicate or interact with those still living, which is why they sometimes manifest in ways that are perceptible to humans.
How Ghosts Manifest
In some cases, a ghost can physically manifest and be seen in our world. This happens when the ghost is able to harness energy from the environment, structuring molecules around its energy form to become more dense and visible by light. Some ghosts emit light themselves, which makes them appear visible, but the process of gathering and arranging molecules to create a visible form remains the same. Essentially, they are drawing on the energies around them to create a brief, physical presence in the world.
Holographic Imprints and "Repeater Ghosts"
An intriguing aspect of ghosts is that they can sometimes manifest even after the soul has moved on to a higher plane or reincarnated. This happens because of the multiple layers of our being. Sometimes, a sort of energetic shell is left behind—an imprint of the person’s energy in the environment, even after their true consciousness has departed.
These are known as "repeater ghosts." These entities are like a hologram, mechanically repeating the same action each time they appear. What we’re seeing is an energetic residue left over from the physical body after the true spirit has moved on. This shell has limited consciousness, though it is still connected to the original person’s energetic essence. Sometimes, it may even be able to communicate, but it’s important to understand that this is not the actual person—it’s more of a shadow copy.
This limited consciousness can make people think they are communicating with their deceased loved ones, but in reality, the true person has already moved on to another realm of existence. Channeling or communicating with such a ghost is essentially interacting with a fragment of the original person, not their complete being.
Dissolution of the Energetic Shell
Over time, this energetic shell begins to lose its strength and eventually dissolves into the ether, the energy field that makes up the lower astral realm. Once this happens, the shell disappears entirely, and no further interaction is possible. However, in some cases, these energetic shells can be inhabited by other entities, prolonging their existence. These entities can then pretend to be the original person, tricking those who come into contact with them. This is similar to the concept of possession—but instead of possessing a physical body, the entity takes over the spiritual shell left behind.
The Original Person's Journey
While all this is happening with the ghostly shell, the original person may be in one of several scenarios. They might have already been reincarnated, beginning a new life in a physical body. Or, they could be traveling the lower astral realms in their astral body, still tied to the denser planes of existence. Alternatively, the person may have ascended to higher astral realms, continuing their spiritual journey and gaining new experiences as an enlightened being.
The Importance of Spiritual Preparation
Unfortunately, most people, due to a lack of spiritual understanding, remain trapped in the lower astral realms after death, becoming lost ghosts. This is why it’s so crucial to understand the afterlife during our time on Earth. Our lives here are really a preparation for death, and we should strive to gain as much insight into the afterlife as possible, so we can navigate it with awareness when the time comes.
Religions, except for some like Buddhism, tend to neglect this preparation for the afterlife. As a result, many people are unprepared to ascend to the higher realms or understand their true spiritual essence, remaining stuck in the lower planes of existence. Developing a deeper understanding of the spiritual realms and the nature of our true self is essential for avoiding the traps of the lower astral and continuing our journey toward enlightenment.
